  Chris Pine is about to boldly go where he has never gone before as according to Deadline , Pine is set to make his directorial debut with his latest project Poolman , a noir mystery-comedy which will see Pine co-star alongside Annette Being and Danny DeVito. AGC Studios is launching sales on the film and Pine is expected to give a presentation to buyers this week as he re-teams with Wonder Woman director Patty Jenkins to produce with him in addition to Stacy Sher and Ian Gotler.      Per Deadline the official synopsis for Poolman is as follows: “In the movie, Pine will play Darren Barrenman, a hapless dreamer and would-be philosopher who spends his days looking after the pool of the Tahitian Tiki apartment block in sunny Los Angeles and crashing city council meetings with his neighbors Jack and Diane (DeVito, Bening).
